About Childbirth Steps Classes.....

Group classes are available at two different locations:

  1. GRIMSBY: offered on-site at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital 169 Main Street East, Grimsby ON, L3M 1P3
  2. MOHAWK COLLEGE, HAMILTON: Mohawk-McMaster Institute of Applied Health Sciences (IAHS) 1400 Main Street West, ON, Hamilton, ON, L8S 1C7.

  • "Natural" unmedicated comfort measures
  • Breathing and massage techniques
  • Labour partnering/coaching
  • Epidurals and pain medication options for labour and birth
  • Medical interventions (Induction of labour, Fetal Monitoring, Forceps, Vacuum, Episiotomy)
  • Cesarean births
  • Early newborn topics/procedures, SIDS and safe sleeping, infant communication and crying, bathing/diapering/swaddling the newborn
  • Fathering the Newborn
  • Breastfeeding

NOTE: Limited enrollment. Classes are scheduled according to your due date. Register early to ensure a space in the appropriate session
